Ticket system

This translation is provided for information purposes only.

The so-called trouble-ticket system is operated in the functional responsibility of the Information Technology Center (ITC) of HTW Berlin, Treskowallee 8, 10318 Berlin.

In addition to the regulations as set out in the general privacy policy of HTW Berlin, the following specific conditions shall apply when using the trouble-ticket system.

We care about the privacy of our (potential) students, applicants, employees and partners. HTW Berlin is committed to respect your privacy and to comply with applicable data protection and privacy laws. To ensure fair and transparent processing we are providing you with necessary information on data protection as required by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

By sending a message to the ‘role’ or ‘functional’ e-mail addresses listed here or by using contact forms that are connected with these functional e-mail addresses, you consent to the collection, storage and use of your personal data (such as your contact details and further information) in a so-called electronic trouble-ticket system. The personal data are collected from you for the purpose of processing your inquiry. No personal data are being transferred to third parties. After the completion of your inquiry, i.e. after your ‘ticket’ was closed, it will be deleted automatically. Please refer to our homepage for an overview of the different periods for which personal data will be stored. If you cannot agree with these terms, we recommend that you use different channels of communication (e.g. telephone calls).

HTW Berlin, represented by its president, is responsible for the collection and processing of your personal data. (HTW Berlin, The President, Treskowallee 8 in 10318 Berlin; e-mail to: Praesident@htw-berlin.de)

In accordance with Art. 15 EU GDPR you have the right to obtain from us confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning you are being processed, and, where that is the case, access to the personal data and the categories of personal data concerned. You have the right to obtain from us without undue delay the rectification of inaccurate personal data and the right to have incomplete personal data completed (Art. 16 EU GDPR). According to Art. 17 EU GDPR you have the right to obtain from us erasure of personal data without undue delay, if the personal data are no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which they were initially collected or otherwise processed and where there is no other legal ground for the processing (e.g. retention periods). Please be aware that an erasure of your personal data before the automatic deletion date (as defined in the overview mentioned above) may complicate the processing of your future inquiries, which may in turn result in additional efforts on your side for example by having to provide all information again. Furthermore, you have the right to obtain from us restriction of processing (Art. 18 EU GDPR) and the right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR). Following Art. 21 EU GDPR you have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time to processing of your personal data.

Furthermore, you have the right to consult the competent supervisory authority of HTW Berlin, if you are worried about the processing of your personal data: Berlin Data Protection and Information Security Authority, Friedrichstraße 219 in 10969 Berlin; mailbox@datenschutz-berlin.de, telephone: +49 30 138 89 - 0
